Visual Guide for setting up Quixpin

By eviledward - Posted on 18 October 2009

Hey guys,
First off, I want to say that Quixpin is truly an all in one mobile DJ app. Great job guys! Just wanted to suggest something to you guys.
After looking at your help guide, I sort of get how to set it up to my sound system. But I think it would make things easier if you guys had a visual step by step guide so that people can see how to fully utilize the headphones and speaker combination.
I'm having a bit of trouble myself, was just wondering whether this combination of set up will work.
I'll connect this to my iphone http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=PA3582&keywords=3.5+mm+stereo&form=KEYWORD
then connect the y splitter like this http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=PA3580&keywords=3.5+mm+stereo&form=KEYWORD
then use other port for my headphones.
Finally I'll connect RCA cables into the y splitter and connect them into my stereo system.
Hope that doesn't confuse you guys.
Regards,
EvilEdward

Greetings EvilEdward,

Thanks for your comment. Indeed, perhaps a diagram would be helpful. We will work on that. On to your question:

Your set up as described will kind of work, but not fully. In your headphones you will hear both queue and master (which may be what you want), but in your stereo, you will also hear both queue and master. In order to just get the master, you would need to plug in only one RCA cable into the RCA splitter (the one for the master channel) and then get another splitter that will take that one RCA plug and turn it into two (or just hear the master coming out of one speaker).

So, yes, a diagram would be helpful. We'll let you know when we post it up to the site.

Thanks again,
